Halal-friendly hotels in Istanbul

Istanbul is one of the easiest cities in the world for Muslim travellers: the adhan carries across the city five times a day, there is a masjid on almost every street and halal food is the norm. What varies is the hotel — many serve alcohol, so the facility tags below show what each one offers and where that information comes from.

Getting there

Istanbul Airport (IST) on the European side is about 45–60 minutes from the old city by car or metro and bus; Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is on the Asian side. The tram along the old city connects Sultanahmet, the Grand Bazaar and the ferry piers.
